Understanding UAE Insurance Networks: A Beginner's Frustration

I've been in the UAE for six months now and still struggle with the insurance system. I'm hoping someone can help me understand how network tiers work. My insurance card shows Orient Insurance with Mednet as TPA. When I visited a clinic near my home, they said they don't accept Mednet. Another clinic said they accept Mednet but not my network tier. My questions: 1. How do I determine exactly which tier/network I'm on? 2. Is there a centralised directory where I can search by my specific plan and see all covered providers? 3. When a clinic says "we accept Mednet" but then turns me away, what's actually happening? 4. Are there any apps or websites that map insurance plans to specific hospitals? I've tried calling Mednet directly but the PDF they sent is outdated — several clinics listed have either closed or no longer accept my plan. It seems like there should be a technology solution for this. In my home country, you simply enter your insurance details on an app and it shows you everything nearby that's covered. Does anything like that exist here?

network tier basically means: ur insurance company bought a list of hospitals. expensive plans = bigger list with fancy hospitals. cheap plans = smaller list with basic clinics only. thats ur "network". u can only use hospitals on UR specific list without paying full price

mednet is honestly the WORST tpa. they deny everything and take forever. had same problem with orient. for finding which hospitals take ur insurance try medifinder they mapped out all the tpa networks. way better than calling 10 clinics
