Name the removable appliance first
A complete denture replaces all teeth in an upper or lower arch; a partial denture replaces some teeth while other natural teeth remain. NHS guidance describes dentures as removable appliances and advises an assessment of the teeth and mouth before choosing an option. Immediate and implant-retained dentures have additional planning and adjustment needs.
Per appliance needs an arch and scope
MediFinder does not yet have enough like-for-like denture appliance prices to calculate a reliable UAE range. Clinic rows remain listed with their units; complete, partial and implant-retained appliances are kept separate.
Current live rows are labelled per appliance. That unit is useful only when the clinic states complete or partial, upper or lower, material, teeth and included fittings. The low row count does not justify a broad static UAE average. Compare written appliance definitions and adjustment terms.
One appliance, two arches, or implant-retained
A per-appliance denture price is comparable only when scope, arch, material and fitting stages match. Complete and partial dentures replace different numbers of teeth; an implant-retained appliance adds separate implant and attachment questions. MediFinder does not combine them into one generic denture range.
| Quote type | What it means | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|
| Per appliance / arch | One complete or partial removable appliance for a stated arch. | Scope, arch, material, teeth, fittings and adjustments. |
| Upper and lower set | Two appliances sold together. | Whether both are complete, material and follow-up visits. |
| Implant-retained denture | A removable appliance using implants for retention. | Whether implants, attachments and maintenance are included. |
Ask about fittings and later adjustments
Confirm the arch, complete or partial design, material, clasps or attachments, impressions or scans, laboratory work, try-ins, fitting and adjustment visits. Ask how repairs, relines or replacement are priced and whether extractions or implants are separate. Immediate dentures may need later adjustment as the mouth changes after extraction.

Remaining teeth, arch and material shape the plan
The number and position of missing teeth, condition of remaining teeth and gums, upper or lower arch, material, clasps or attachments, immediate timing and implant retention can change the design. A complete acrylic appliance, a partial denture and an implant-retained denture should not share one price comparison.
Expect adaptation, cleaning and review
NHS guidance notes that making a denture involves mouth measurements and impressions or scans, followed by fitting. It can take time to adapt to inserting, removing, eating and speaking with a new appliance. Follow the dentist’s cleaning, storage and wearing instructions and continue regular dental review.
Poor fit and soreness need review
Dentures need cleaning and adjustment when required. NHS guidance advises dental review if they click, slip, no longer fit, cause pain, become worn or damaged, or if gums are very red or bleeding. Do not assume adhesive or self-adjustment resolves a fit problem; follow the treating dentist’s instructions.
Ask who designs, fits and adjusts the denture
Ask who assesses the mouth, which laboratory and material are used, how try-ins work, what adjustment visits are included, and who handles breakage or fit changes. Verify the dentist and facility with the relevant UAE regulator. For implant-retained options, identify separately who plans and maintains the implants.
A fixed bridge, dental implant restoration and removable denture replace missing teeth through different support and maintenance pathways. A partial appliance is also different from a complete arch.
