My wife and I are expecting our first child and have narrowed our hospital shortlist to American Hospital Dubai and Mediclinic Parkview. We've toured both facilities and had initial consultations, but I wanted to hear from parents who have actually delivered at either. **What we're considering:** - Quality of postnatal care and NICU facilities - Private room availability and standard - Midwife support vs obstetrician-led care - Whether they support birth plans and natural delivery preferences - Total cost breakdown (we're on Cigna enhanced network) We've heard excellent things about both, but the pricing difference is substantial. American Hospital quoted approximately AED 35,000 for a normal delivery package, while Mediclinic was closer to AED 25,000. Any recent experiences would be greatly appreciated. We're making our decision by end of March.

hey, congrats on the pregnancy! 💖 both hospitals are solid choices tbh. i had my baby at mediclinic city hospital and the delivery rooms were really nice, felt more like a cozy room than a hospital. the nurses were super attentive and supportive, which was a huge plus. heard from a friend who delivered at american hospital that it's pretty fancy but yeah they charge a bit more. as for NICU, both places have decent facilities just in case. they treat dads pretty well too, don’t worry! oh and for price, mediclinic might be slightly less but best to check with them directly for exact numbers. good luck!
