PRK vs LASIK — anyone done PRK here?

went for a lasik consultation yesterday and turns out my corneas are too thin for lasik 😭 dr recommended PRK instead anyone here done PRK in dubai? what was the recovery like?? i keep reading horror stories online about how the first few days are brutal also the price difference is wild — got quoted 7000 for both eyes at moorfields and 5500 at the eye consultants. is there a big quality difference or is it basically the same procedure everywhere? if youve done it plsss tell me about your experience cos im lowkey scared lol

hey! i totally feel you on the glasses struggle 🙄. my friend had PRK at cleveland clinic and said the recovery was a bit rough at first but worth it in the end. he paid around the same as moorfields but felt they had great aftercare. the price diffrence is pretty huge tho, so if ur okay with a longer recovery, moorfields might be a good option. as for insurance, it's tricky. i heard some plans cover a part of it, but most people end up paying out of pocket. def worth calling ur insurance to check! good luck! 😊
